Do I need a Google Maps API key to use this plugin?

Yes. Size Matters uses Google Maps for drawing and measurement features.

You’ll need to create a free Google Cloud Console account and enable the Maps API.

We provide step-by-step instructions inside the plugin and on our helpdesk to guide you through the process.

Google includes a generous free tier, but depending on usage volume, Google may charge you. Please review Google’s pricing and policies before purchasing.

We are not responsible for any charges incurred by your use of Google Maps.

How do I use the plugin once it’s installed?

Install and activate Size Matters like any other plugin.

Add your Google Maps API key in the plugin settings. We provide clear step-by-step instructions and a helpdesk guide.

Use the provided shortcode to embed the plugin on any WordPress page.

On the frontend, draw polygons on the map to measure areas.

View instant square footage/meters, and optionally save, label (auto), and export your data.

It’s fast, simple, and doesn’t require any technical expertise.

Does the plugin work with all WordPress themes and page builders?

Size Matters works with nearly all standard WordPress themes and setups.

However, we have identified a known visual bug when using the plugin’s shortcode within the Elementor Page Builder. Specifically, the Pegman icon for street view appears as a white square.

This issue only affects how the icon is initially displayed. Once you click and hold to drag Pegman, he becomes visible and works as expected.

This bug has been observed in multiple Google Maps-based plugins and is related to the Elementor Page Builder itself, not the Size Matters plugin.

Workaround: Use the shortcode on a standard WordPress page (outside of Elementor) for full, proper Pegman display.

Is the plugin compatible with older versions of PHP or WordPress?

No.
Size Matters is designed to work with modern, secure versions of WordPress (6.4+) and PHP (8.0 and above).
We do not support outdated installations, and do not recommend purchasing if your site is running older PHP or WordPress versions.

What if I run into issues? Is support available?

Absolutely.

Our dedicated helpdesk is available Monday through Friday, with most support tickets answered within 24–48 hours or less.

Can I switch licenses later if my needs grow?

Yes! You can upgrade your license anytime — from 1 site to 5, or from 5 to 10 — and just pay the difference in price.
